HOW TO USE FLORIDA MEDIATION GROUP
1. Schedule or Submit either Pre-Suit or In Suit Cases for Mediation. O R
2. Simply call FMG at 800-247-9990 (305-579-9990 outside Florida) and a Case Administrator will Schedule your Mediation.

3. Fax the following to our office:
   
   • For Court-Ordered - A copy of the Order of Mediation and Service List.
   • For In-Suit Voluntary - A copy of the first page of any pleading and service list.
   • For Pre-Suit - A copy of the cover letter to Demand Package.

4. Print, Complete, and Fax the Transmittal Sheet to our office at 305-579-9991.

CHOICE
Paticipants are encouraged to CHOOSE mediators with whom they are comfortable and who have the appropriate expertise.

CONVENIENCE

FMG'S office coordinates all details related to a mediation, including:
1. Relaying the offer of mediation to the opposing side.
2. All scheduling and rescheduling.
3. Preparation of notices and relevant court documents.
4. Follow up contacts with attorneys, adjusters and judges when necessary.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT
FMG Mediators participate in a peer-mentorship program of reciprocal observations and evaluation and are observed regularly by the mediation director.

Letters of recommendation, as well as individual testimonies of the competence and comitment of our mediators have been received from judges in jurisdictions throughout Florida, plaintiff and defense attorneys alike, insurance and other business professionals, and citizen disputants themselves.

ACCOUNTABILITY
Participants in a mediation conducted by FMG are encouraged to return an evaluation form with their written comments.
Each evaluation is read by the Program Director and Mediation Director and discussed with the mediator involved.
FMG mediators must receive excellent evaluations from BOTH SIDES.

EDUCATION
Each of our mediators has taken a Florida Supreme Court Certified training program for mediators and is a certified mediator in all jurisdictions.
Most have taken advanced training offered by various organizations and associations involved in mediation.
Periodic development seminars are conducted locally for FMG Mediators where successful strategies, and techniques are demonstrated and discussed.
